If a series on Sher-o-Shayari is to begin naturally and logically then it obviously must begin with a Sher by GHalib. But I also wanted to begin with a Sher that praises GHalib. Now how good it will be to start with a Sher that accomplishes both!
So here it is ...
sukhan_war = poet
andaz-e-bayaN = style of expression
haiN aur bhi duniya me sukhan_war bahut achchhe
kehete hai, ki 'GHalib' ka hai kuchh andaz-e-bayaN aur
GHalib was never afraid of loudly proclaiming his greatness. That's one of the reasons, why I like him so much. A person cannot truly great, if he himself fails to recognize his greatness.
