Welcome to C-Nik.com! This web portal is currently under development / enhancement so keep checking for updates.
There are 4-5 major sections that I have planned to include so far, but I might keep adding or deleting as required.
Currently there are two sections that I am working on: Shayari & Webmaster.
Shayari: This section will keep getting updated with interpretations of couplets/shers/ghazals that I come across and like. The A Sher A day subsection is based on a famous series by Abhay Avachat on the usenet group RMIM (rec.music.indian.misc) in the mid nineties. The Ghazals subsection will be used to cover all other shayari. The
Webmaster: This section will have information that can be utilized by any of you who would want to have a similar website and also guide you towards ways in which you can monetize it. The subsections here will model the business process of getting a website in place starting from an overview of the technologies in use for website development, selecting the web space provider (webhosting) and then trying to monetize your site.
Contributions: This section allows you to submit your own entries for all sections - feel free to submit couplets/shers/ghazals that you like, post the interpretations or if you want me to try to interpret the same I will be happy to do so. Submit any article on the webmaster subject that you want to be posted. Your submissions will be posted under a relevant section / sub section after review and would be duly credited to your name and if you want I can also post a website site under the same.
